Rhapsody announced today in their blog that Rhapsody App is coming to Android and is in beta stage. If you have an Android phone like Droid and you want to participate in beta testing, you can go to their Facebook page and sign up. Non-Rhapsody subscribers are also eligible and will have the opportunity to try Rhapsody at no cost for seven days. Once the free offer expires, you have to pay $14.99/month for unlimited streams.

Google has rolled out a new music service for U.S. residents. Google discover music lets you search by artists or albums or artists and a song. Searching for music will let you preview the music and purchase the song. Google has partnered with Warner Bros, Universal Music Group, Sony Music, Rhapsody, EMI, Myspace, Pandora, lala and imeem to sell the songs.
This is how it works. You do a Google search for an artists or album or a song, Google will display the song with a preview play button and clicking the link will show you the preview of the song from one of the partner with an option to buy that song. Take a look at the video below for a tour.
