India to vote against OOXML

India will vote against Microsoft’s OOXML being adopted as a standard by the Geneva-based international standards body, ISO, where representatives of member countries are slated to decide on the matter by March 29. The decision was taken at a standards committee of the Bureau of Indian Standards.

OpenDocument drops support for ODF, now supports CDF

According to Ars Technica, OpenDocument Foundation has decided to end its support for OASIS’s OpenDocument Format (ODF) and instead support W3C’s Compound Document Format (CDF), which is currently described in the Web Integration Compound Document Core 1.0 draft.
