I've tried reverting back to the packaged driver which ubuntu 8.10 installs which is much faster but the printing quality isn't too great. No just normal paper. Thanks for the instructions on installing the CLP-300. I followed them for Ubuntu 8.10 and whilst I can print text okay my photographs take over an hour of processing to print - I have no idea why?
