Right now I can configure the time limit for the power save through their windows software, and I realize that I would probably loose the ability to change it, but I was just wondering if the power save function would still work even though I reformatted the drive. The only issue I have now is to permanently mount it so any user can access it. I didn't get time to sit and try different options for mounting. hemeschris,

From what I could notice, if I use user switching, when I switch from user1 to user2 and then come back to user1, the drive/icon is there and I could access. If I logout as user1, login as user2 and log back again as user1, then I can't access the drive. Any idea how to mount it permanently? It's NTFS formatted. When I leave a nautilus window open, pointed at the drive, directories disappear after a while. Solved with a remount, wondering if there is some funky power saving going on?
