Switching from Windows to Linux reduces e-waste by 50%

Switching from a Windows operated computer to Linux, one could slash computer generated e-waste by 50%. This was proved by a UK government study, which says Windows users have to change their computer twice as many times as Linux users. A typical period for Windows system is 3-4 years whereas for Linux, it’s 6-8 years. :)
