Compiz Fusion team has released 4 new plugins and couple of new features to Compiz Fusion. Here are they:

In time for winter – SnowGlobe – Creates snow effects and snowman inside the cube.

Maximumize – plugin which combines resize and maximize. It resizes windows to occupy as much screenspace as possible without
overlapping any other window. Unfortunately, it doesn’t work if the
windows are already overlapping.

Freescale – It basically allows you to scale up and down windows.

BasicBlur – To blur windows.

Here are some of the new features:

Windows inside the cube: It draws a window inside the cube. To invoke it, make sure you are using an up-to-date version of the
CubeDBUS plugin, and run ‘./window.sh’ and select a window. That window
should then be displayed inside the cube.

There is now an option in scaleaddon to display the window title for all windows.

Livedesktop-Settings can now loop and mute your video.
