Since I am familiar only with windows systems, I am finding it diffictult to use the console as also setting up proxy configuration(with user name and password) in the Ubuntu server. Can you guide me.

If you can give more information, then I can try figuring it out. What's your host, what's your guest and what did you try to do etc.

I'm not sure about Windows being host OS. It works for me whenever I installed Virtualbox after I installed the guest addon with Linux being the host.

I've installed OpenSUSe 10 as my guest OS under virtualbox on my VISTA ... The mouse driver says virtualbox mouse, but I still don't have the ability to leave the guest window without using the control key.
The screen resolution part works great.

I'm not sure why. What you can try is to use the shared folder option under settings in the virtualbox software to add the folder you want to share and then use the net use M: \\vboxsvr\sharedfolder command to assign a drive letter to that folder. By doing this, you don't have to issue the vboxmanage command.

I have used this command

VBoxManage sharedfolder add Windoze -name linux -hostpath /media/linux

After adding a shared folder, I failed to start the virtual machine "Windoze" (Windoze is my virtual machine name).

"Could not create a shared folder "inux" mapped to /media/linux" (VERR_ALREADY_EXISTS)

Any advices?
Thanks
