Turbolinux, Inc. announced last month in Japan that they will release the new product wizpy which is Linux embedded and portable USB bootable device with digital audio capability. By connecting this 60g small device to any computer, wherever you want, you can use “your own” operating system and “your own” desktop. In addition, wizpy has portable digital player features including music player, movie player, photo viewer, FM Radio.
The product will become available, first in Japan, on February 2007 and will gradually release in other areas of the world in later 2007. Wizpy‘s flash memory hides a feature that differentiates it from other media players: a bootable version of Linux. The OS can run from any computer to which Wizpy is connected to. You don’t have to install the OS.
